Baldur's Gate 3 - Ember Swift - Bard/Rogue

This is a speculative build for my main character on my initial BG3 playthrough. It is a Swords Bard with a dip into the Thief subclass of Rogue. This is mostly to get Fast Hands from Thief, allowing an extra Bonus Action every turn. But it also gives a few more fun things that fit my original NWN concept of Ember.

NOTE: I ended up playing a version of the character that dips into Fighter.

That's probably not all quite correct. I'm still learning how the game mechanics work. Hopefully it is close.

It wouldn't be hard to switch out two levels of Bard for two more levels of Rogue, thereby getting Fast Hands from the Thief subclass. Or maybe four total Rogue levels to get an extra Feat, at the expense of another Bard level.

Two-Weapon Fighting would have also been a good Fighting Style choice. I read some math that says Two-Weapon Fighting is initially better, but Duelling ultimately outpaces it. Part of the argument is that Bards will have better things to do with their Bonus Action than use them for an off-hand attack. We'll see if that is true.

Order matters here, at least a little. At least one level of Rogue should be taken before any levels of Bard, so that CHA sticks as my Spellcasting Ability when using items.
